Twilio Unplugged is a series dedicated to providing useful tools for those who are aiming to find employment, inclusive of all aspiring talent with technical and non-technical backgrounds.
During Twilio Unplugged: Interviewing like a S.T.A.R. we will host a discussion with a few of Twilio’s own employees who have been on both sides of the interview process, as the interviewer and the interviewee. We will address behavioral interviewing and how you can communicate effectively and advocate for yourself throughout the interview process. Join this free interactive webinar to learn tips and tricks that you will find beneficial to interviewing regardless of the job function you are in.

Jahlazha Johnson (she/her), is currently a Technical Talent Partner at Twilio Inc. After serving over a year as an Enterprise Sales Development Representative for the company, she realized she wanted to transition into a role that would allow her to empower others by providing new opportunities for them to showcase their own best qualities.
Originally raised in Atlanta, GA, Jahlazha recently relocated to Denver, CO to support her new team.
The mantra she lives by is a quote from Wilma Rudolph: “Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us."
Corey Harris (he/him), Twilio Growth Account Executive, helps companies of up to 100 employees determine the best ways to leverage the Twilio Communication platform. He is a North Carolina native who moved to San Francisco over four years ago after landing a sales role at Yelp. He landed the sales role after sending a cold email to Yelp's Diversity & Inclusion VP.
Corey has founded multiple companies and has worked in sales and marketing capacities throughout his tech career. Some people call him Trap House Corey, and his life long passion is to provide other aspiring techies and founders from underrepresented communities with “success blueprints” to thrive in tech.
Anthony Spangenberg (he/him), People Analytics at Twilio: Anthony is an Oklahoma native who grew up on a small farm. With the support of his family, he was the first gay man to come out publically in his small town - helping to represent the LGBTQ+ community in a positive way. As an active member of the LatinX and LGBTQ+ community, Anthony educates and empowers Twilio’s leadership team by applying his intersectional background with his expertise in quantitative analysis. He sees beyond the numbers to help inform, influence, and support the growth of Twilio's number one resource: our people. Some of his proudest accomplishments at Twilio was working closely with LaFawn Davis (former head of D&I) to define and track progress toward our 2023 goals and publish Twilio’s first public D&I report in 2018, building our first People Analytics function, and helping Twilio to win numerous 'Best Place to Work' awards. Prior to Twilio, Anthony worked at Facebook, Google, and Apple, leaving ‘big tech’ for Twilio due to its dedication to employee experience and focus on inclusion at a stage when it can make unprecedented progress in the Tech industry. In his downtime, Anthony and his husband, Matthew, are avid PC gamers - spending more hours than they’ll admit in Destiny 2, Battlefront II, Eve Online, and Minesweeper.
Andy Gramley (he/him), is a Programs Lead on the Early in Career (EIC) team at Twilio. He has been at Twilio for just over a year. Prior to Twilio, Andy spent more than 20 years at Microsoft where he recruited Industry Talent and Microsoft Researchers during the early part of his tenure, and then spent the next 18+ years on the University Recruiting team where he managed sourcing teams, international recruiting teams. He also worked closely with the Microsoft engineering teams to define their global workforce plans as it relates to University hiring.
Andy is drawn to the amazing culture and great EIC team at Twilio as well as the opportunity to build an EIC program that can scale with the company's accelerated growth!
Andy works remotely from Southern Oregon where he lives with his wife, their three 17 year-olds (yes, triplets!), and 2 black labs. In his free time, he loves to travel, swim, and play and coach water polo.
Lauren Shelton (she/her), is a Senior Program Manager in our People org for all things Interview Training and the Bar Raiser Program at Twilio. Lauren spent just shy of 6 years at Amazon Web Services running international hiring events to recruit top talent from around the world before joining Twilio at the start of 2019. Lauren was thrilled to join a company with a focus on powering the future of communications, social impact and community engagement. She is passionate about helping organizations level up their hiring efforts to create a stellar candidate experience, highlight company culture, reduce bias in the interview process, and consider long-term potential. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Lauren has lived in Seattle, WA for the last 7 years. She enjoys getting outdoors to hike and backpack, going to films and art events around the city, and traveling as much as possible to expand her horizons.
